Slow loading?

I have dial-up internet and I used to have these pages load fairly fast. The last couple of months (not sure if it has been that long), I have been having very slow load times for the forum pages. Has anything changed in the background of this site that might have caused this. No other fast loading pages seem to have slower loading times. Just curious...

Thanks for asking. I don't know of anything that has changed. The board doesn't have any plugins or really anything on it except the board.
email me if this seems to be a problem in the future.

Thanks for the reply Peter. I will continue checking things out on my end. I was hoping you had changed something to save me some work...oh well.

I deleted all of my post subscriptions and the page started loading really fast again. I did not realize that those subscriptions would be kept forever and be pre-loaded when I I come o this site. If anybpdt else asks, that is the key to soving this problem.

Yeah, you may be right. Just happened to me on a very fast line. I am getting a fix from the advertising company and will install it. This way the board will load first in the event the ad takes a long time.

I added the new stuff from the advertiser to make the page load faster.
Basically the discussion board content should load all the way before the ad in the event that the ad is slow in getting here.
