Report Updated November 22, 2007
Fished below Meldahl dam last nite. Got on the water at 4:15pm and fished till dark. Started out jigging silver buddies in 22-35' of water by the locks only caught 3 sauger, 1 keeper around 14". Started hitting the banks with a jerkbait and a med diver cb. Caught about 30 sauger, 3 more keepers. Caught 2 smallmouth dinks, 2 largemouth dinks and 8 whitebass, 4 were aroung 15". Lots of current and the water had some color to it. Lots of boats out fishing. One boat said they caught all of their sauger on jigs and minnows, around 40, but only 5 keepers. Another boat, said they had their limit on sauger. They had 4 gates open at the dam and it was hard to hold your boat in the current with a trolling motor. Good Fishing and Happy Thanksgiving!
