Another Oil Well Explosion in The Gulf

Marine Energy had an offshore oil well explode this morning at 9:30 CDT at Grand Isle, LA south of the BP well. It is in 2,500 ft. of water and had 13 workers on the platform. Early reports said they were all in the water and one was injured and that it was not a producing well. The Coast Guard was on their way to the site when I first heard about it. I'm waiting to see if Marine Energy will be more honest than BP.

Reports are now saying that it was a platform explosion and the well is west of the BP explosion. Also there is a mile long sheen of oil on the water.
