Water Management Report


 The suspension of construction in Critical Area 1 has been
extended until at least 25 Jun as we collect soil data and
install inclinometers and piezometers on the upstream embankment.
The information obtained will be used to update
the evaluation of the embankment stability.
 The majority of this work is along a newly constructed access
ramp in the wraparound section where the embankment
ties into the concrete section of the dam.
 Recent heavy rainfall caused the lake to rise higher than the
access ramp which is at elevation 695. Work is expected to
resume as the lake falls below the ramp elevation which
should be about 26 May.
Construction continues on the remainder of the project. Contractor
Treviicos Soletanche JV is currently conducting the following
activities:
 Excavating Protective Concrete Barrier Wall (PCEW) panels
(151 of 430 complete).
 Directional drilling of pilot holes in Technique Areas 1, 2
and 2 Extension (67 of 83 complete).
 Drilling 50-inch diameter piles in Technique Areas 1, 2 and 2
Extension (24 of 83 complete).
 Excavating Combined Barrier Wall panels in Technique Areas
1, 2 and 2 Extension (3 of 17 complete).
 Drilling Arapuni secant piles in Technique Areas 1 a
