I don't troll, friend! In the narcotics world, a "Big Fish" is a Drug Lord or Kingpin.

Re: What Happened to the Gator

Seriously doubt your gator will stay only in your pond, they tend to move around during mating season and during low water dry times, there are actually the American Alligator,American Crocodile, and Camans in the USA.
They have hunting seasons in Florida and Louisiana (where I used to live, worked offshore on a drilling rig also)They will eat anything they can get a hold of and love small dogs,I knew gator hunters in Louisiana that kept yappy little dogs on the boat for that reason.I wouldn't trust one nomatter what anybody tells you,I'm also surprised one would survive a winter in Kentucky, several have been found frozen in Northern Ky over the years.
I've got pictures of kids riding their big wheels on the road near Pecan Island,La along a canal with 12 and 14 foot gators sunning close to the road, guess them folks were awful trusting around there, either that or they enjoyed making babies to feed the local gators.

This is not intended as an insult to you but I need to say it.

For those of you who think that either because I now live in TN or because I'm a woman, I don't know about alligators. I was born and raised in Alabama, fished, swam, and water skied in the rivers and tributaries where there are alligators. I've been run by a mama alligator when we accidentally parked a boat near some baby alligators in the edge of the water. I've seen gators in places where they shouldn't be and even saw one in a man's pond where people would stop and feed it (a very dangerous situation). He was arrested and found guilty on a list of charges.

I don't profess to know all about them and I do know they are transient. My husband and I don't have children nor do we have pets. The fish pond is private property, the land is posted, and tresspassers are not my concern. Everybody on that road is upset because of one small alligator but they are not upset that rattlesnakes are abundant in the area. A large rattler, 6 feet long and had eaten a rabbit, was found in the carport of a home where there are 2 little boys; 2 and 3 years old. If the children can tell their parents about rattlesnakes, why can't they tell them they see an alligator which is much larger? A new family has moved in with a 6 year-old and an 11 year-old. I realize the gator can be dangerous but nobody on that road is blind. Parents have a responsibility to know where their children are at all times and to see that they are kept safe. If there was no gator in the pond, it is still not safe for children to be playing around the water. There are 3 other ponds on properties across the road from mine and the gator has to walk only a short distance to be in either of them but the idiots only focus on my pond. I appreciate the concern of everyone and hope I've explained the reasons for the attitude that I have developed about this problem that I didn't cause.

If I can find someone who raises them, I plan to have a load of mermaids delivered next week and you are all welcome to come and fish with my husband. lol

I didn't know this either but a big thanks for what you did. Always nice when you catch the big fish even in the narc's world.
