I have never heard of a Bass Tracker with Rivets that didn't leak. I have been told that almost all boats with rivets will eventually leak to some degree, some worse than others.

Lunds are nice boats, and probably in a league above most alluminum boats. Maybe it is the design of the Deep V that makes them less prone to losing seals around rivets. If I ever go back to an aluminum boat I will probably look at the deep V's, just because they handle the chop a little better.

Lund boats are double rivetted with their own design rivets etc. Yes I have never seen a Bass Tracker that did not leak. We had the same problem with a Lowe leaking, it was repaired with Lund hardware.
There is a reason airplanes are rivetted and not welded, I know it sounds strange but it's much stronger method of assembly.

I think one of the main things to consider is your finacial situation. The last couple of years the price of fuel has kept many guys off the water, literally cut their fishing in half by 50%. Alluminum boats are light, easy to tow, and depending on your motor size you can run all over the lake for days! They are a bit unstable compared to glass, and if it's windy you better hide and it's tough loading your boat up. You need to write down the pro's and con's and see you out weighs who. No doubt is better to fish out of a glass boat boat w/a 250hp, but is it worth all that? I will fish both, but if it's windy don't even risk taking a allum. boat out on the main lake at ken lake, been their almost capsized! Although i will say bass tracker 175txw has alot of bang for the buck. If you got the sctrach get a ranger 300hp e-tec playa...
