Fishing in Columbus
I am moving to Hilliard in June. What opportunities to do a little fishing are in this area? Parks, creeks, rivers, lakes, knocking on doors? I'm more interested in a place I can go throw a line in for a few hours once or twice a month for a little fun, doesn't need to be trophy bass fishing.

Re: Fishing in Columbus
There are a few good spots around C-Bus....
Check these ones out:
Alum Creek
Paint Creek
Deer Creek
Rocky Fork
There is also some decent river stream fishing up there, some of which flow from these lakes. Have always like Alum & Paint Creek, good spots to get a line in the water.
Hope this helps.

Re: Fishing in Columbus
If you are fishing from shore any of the creeks and lakes listed are good but if your using a boat, then Alum and Deer Creek are good. If you want to travel a little bit, then CJ Brown near Springfield is good also and it has Walleye. I have just started fishing there last year and it seems to be a nice lake.
